Ceramic sculpting has become one of my favorite ways to bring movement and life into my pottery. Over time, I’ve honed my hand-building techniques, taking inspiration from nature and exploring various ceramic sculpture ideas.
The process often begins with hand-building a sturdy base, a grounding step that connects me directly to the clay. From there, I add coils, stretching and shaping them into flowing, organic patterns. Each layer is carefully sculpted to create a sense of movement and vitality, making the piece feel alive.
