My work centers on creating coastal ceramic sculpture that captures movement, texture, and the quiet energy found in nature. Ceramic sculpture has become one of my favorite ways to explore motion and form. Over time, I have refined my handbuilding process, drawing inspiration from coastal landscapes, erosion, water, and natural rhythm. Every curve, surface, and detail is shaped by hand, resulting in work that feels both grounded and expressive.

Each sculpture is created in my Charlotte, North Carolina studio using fine stoneware clay. The process begins with a carefully constructed base, followed by the addition of coils and sculpted elements that are stretched, layered, and carved to create flowing, organic movement. Every piece is shaped slowly by hand, making each sculpture truly one of a kind.
Once formed, the sculptures are bisque fired, glazed by hand, and high fired for strength and longevity. The glazes are chosen to enhance texture and form rather than overpower it, allowing subtle shifts in surface and light to bring the piece to life.
