My unique ceramic bowls are customer favorites! I create a variety of unique decorative bowls, including flutter bowls, wavy bowls, organic bowls, and sculpture bowls. Making my wavy bowls starts with hand-building each piece from smooth, even slabs of clay. I carefully shape the base and pull the edges to create the signature waves, letting the clay’s texture guide me as I work. Each curve is formed by hand, and I focus on how the waves flow together to give the bowl its unique character. Once the bowl takes shape, I let it dry to a leather-hard state before adding any final textures or details. After the first firing, I apply a glaze that complements the curves and brings out the natural beauty of the clay. The final firing brings everything together, leaving me with a functional, one-of-a-kind organic bowl that’s ready for your home.
