I’m thrilled to share that I was recently invited to participate in Anthropologie’s Mother’s Day Pop-Up Market! This special event took place on May 2nd and was an incredible opportunity to showcase my handmade ceramics in such a beautiful and inspiring space.

A few weeks ago, a representative from Anthropologie reached out to invite me to join their Mother’s Day pop-up event. I was both shocked and honored to receive such an invitation. Anthropologie operates over 200 stores around the world and offers a curated assortment of clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty, furniture, home décor, garden, and bridal products. Anthropologie has always been a brand I admire, and being selected to represent local, handmade work in their SouthPark Mall store in Charlotte, NC, was a proud moment for my pottery business.

The event was incredibly well organized, with a strong focus on supporting local small businesses and encouraging shoppers to choose meaningful, handcrafted gifts. It was wonderful to see a major retailer making space for local artisans—and even more special to be one of them.

The setup was beautiful, with each table arranged thoughtfully and with attention to detail. I brought a selection of my handmade pottery, including my wavy ceramic bowls, platters, sculptures, and trinket dishes. But the biggest hit of the day was my ceramic garlic graters (and I still have a couple left for sale on my site!).

What made the day truly special was the chance to connect directly with new customers. I was so humbled to see so many shoppers stop by to admire my handmade ceramics, and I had several meaningful conversations about what inspires my work and what goes into the creative process.

I also had the chance to meet other talented local makers, which added to the sense of community. It’s always energizing to be surrounded by people who are passionate about their craft, and I left the event feeling creatively recharged and deeply grateful.

Some of the bestsellers from the Anthropologie Mother’s Day Pop-Up Market are still available on my website. I loved seeing how people connected with these pieces—whether they were picking out a gift or treating themselves, the conversations and stories behind each purchase really stuck with me. Here are a few of the most popular items from that day:

Blue Ceramic Wavy Bowl ("Aruba Bowl")

Blue ceramic bowl with ruffled edges on a woven tray. Next to it is a string of brown beads with a tassel, creating a rustic display.

This ceramic pottery bowl always draws a lot of attention with its flowing shape and ocean-inspired glaze. One customer picked it out as a wedding gift, and it just felt like such a perfect match. It’s a statement piece that still feels soft and organic—one of my favorites to make.

Multi-Color Artistic Ceramic Bowls

Ceramic bowl with wavy edges, featuring blue and green hues, sits on a wooden table. A textured white vase is in the background.

These decorative artisan bowls are always a customer favorite. Each one is full of color and movement—no two are ever alike. They’re great for serving or just sitting out as a piece of art on the counter or shelf.

Ceramic Garlic Grater Dish

Brown ceramic plate with wavy edges, embossed flower design in center; neutral background. Edges have a scalloped, organic shape.

These were a huge hit. People loved them as unique housewarming gifts and for Mother’s Day. They’re small, useful, and a little unexpected. Plus, they spark conversation, especially when you’re showing someone how they work! These unique garlic graters are both beautiful and function.

Handmade Ceramic Spoon Rests

Green ceramic plate with wavy edges on a white background. The plate has a smooth texture, resembling a leaf or organic shape.

These didn’t last long on the table. A lot of people were looking for something practical but still handmade, and these ceramic spoon rests hit the mark. Each one is a little different, and they add a nice touch to the kitchen.

Being part of this event reminded me why I love what I do. A huge thank you to Anthropologie for not only inviting me but for believing in the value of supporting local artists and small businesses. This experience was a beautiful reminder of the power of community, creativity, and connection.
