This ruffled ceramic bowl is one of my favorite glaze explorations where movement, texture, and color come together in a way that feels both wild and intentional. This handmade piece has already found its forever home. I used a flowing blue green glaze layered over earthy undertones to create a surface that shifts with the light and draws the eye from every angle. The wide organic rim reminds me of a blooming flower or a seaform and the way the glaze pools and spreads across the curves gives it a sense of motion and depth.
At 13 inches wide and 3 inches tall it’s a bold statement piece perfect for a coffee table console or a dining room table. Whether styled solo or layered with other ceramics this ruffled ceramic bowl brings a handcrafted elegance to any space. I love how the colors echo nature and how the irregular edge adds a sculptural quality. It’s functional art expressive tactile and unmistakably handmade. No two are ever alike and that’s exactly the point.
