On Thursday, October 30, 2025, I had the joy of taking part in Artisan Day at Traditions in Charlotte. It was one of those special days that reminded me why I love being part of a creative community. From the moment I arrived, I could feel a sense of warmth and hospitality.

Traditions of Charlotte, NC is a stunning interior design store in the Park Road Shopping Center. Founded by Sharon Garfield more than thirty years ago, it has become a beloved part of the Charlotte design scene. Her store is filled with curated furniture, elegant lighting, and timeless home accessories, but what truly differentiates it is the spirit of the people inside.

When I met Sharon that morning, she greeted me with genuine excitement and kindness. She was eager to see the pottery I brought and clearly values the artisans she welcomes into her space. Sharon created this event to bring together local makers and give them a chance to share their work with the community. Her enthusiasm set the tone for the entire day.

The event was thoughtfully planned and full of life. The Traditions team’s warmth and care made every artisan feel supported. Throughout the day, I noticed how many of Sharon’s friends, family, and long-time customers came by to show their support. She welcomed each one with the same open-hearted energy that filled the store from morning until evening.

Traditions itself is an inspiring place. Every room is arranged with care, and the attention to detail is evident in every space. The store’s talented team of designers offers services ranging from full interior designs to home styling and renovation consultations. You can see the artistry and intention behind everything they do.

What I loved most about the day was how it celebrated creativity and connection. Each artisan brought something unique, from baked goods, jewelry, paintings, unique crafts, and together we created an atmosphere that felt vibrant and collaborative. Visitors took their time exploring, asking questions, and sharing stories about their homes and experiences with handmade art.

As the afternoon wrapped up and the last few people headed out, I took a minute to look around. The day had been full and vibrant, with good conversations and steady energy. I left feeling grateful for Sharon, her team, and everyone who stopped by to support local makers at the Artisan Day at Traditions in Charlotte.

If you missed me at the event, I’d still love to share my work with you. You can explore my latest hand-built pottery pieces on my website or reach out directly if you’d like to ask about custom or available work. Whether you’re a collector, designer, or simply someone who appreciates handmade art, I’d be happy to help you find something special for your home.
